In companionship with Dazey I’ll start this topic here. This is the place where you can put your requests for urgent MP3 uploads. No official stuffs of course.

And don’t think your request for the rarest things will be neglected! Dazey is the talking type of guy, but he sure knows how to listen also Sometimes Then he might have a quick look in his crystal ball Maybe And who knows He finds what you are looking for so eagerly all those years And uploads it on the spot for you!(And if Dazey can’t help, or isn’t around, then we all help each other, right?)Rock on people, let’s make 'Booties & Rarities EveryDay!' The topic to look forward to!EveryDay!. ThanksI clicked on the link, but not sure how to use it though. I could be better with computers. So if someone can tell me how that would be great.
Thanks again to Dazey./quote:6bbanaaoAll you need to do is enter the 3-digit code that shows up into the box next to DOWNLOAD, then click on the DOWNLOAD orange box.On the next screen at the bottom right, a counter heads to ‘Zero,’ then you just click FREE DOWNLOAD to start it off. There may then be a pop-up box along with the one you want, so ignore that one. I’m vegetarian, but I thought it would be gross even if I still ate meat. I like soup though./quote:2doj3rc7Yeah I was a vegetarian also for many years in my youth (seriously), but when I found out the bugs and the flies and the snakes and the wolves and the bears were trying to eat me, I decided it was time to turn things around again (not so seriously).I just feel better having some meat sometimes, that’s about it I guess Let’s bring the vegetarian thingy to another topic.
/quote:2doj3rc7If you feel like it. It is RAR/quote:1yuf7hr9RAR (and ZIP) files are compressed files, to keep more files with other extentions together in 1 file, and they get compressed also, which makes uploading, sending and downloading a bit faster and easier.
However, after downloading you have to 'unzip' them. A very wellknown program to do that is WINRAR. That can be downloaded from if I’m right. Let me check that again Yes, that’s it. Check the text on top that says:'WinRAR is a powerful archive manager. It can backup your data and reduce size of email attachments, decompress RAR, ZIP and other files downloaded from Internet and create new archives in RAR and ZIP file format.
You may try WinRAR before buy, its trial version is available in downloads.' Then click the downloads links and follow the instructions. After installing it properly (takes only a few seconds) then you can rightclick on the RAR file and instruct to 'Extract here' or something like that.
Mine is Dutch, so I’m trying to translate the best I can.By the way, MP3 files are not compressed that much, as MP3 is a very compressed format itself already. Hope this helps. I’m not really a tech guy myself also, but these things are not that difficult for dummies like me. I was looking around on YouTube and I found someone who put up the Pumpkin’s performance on David Letterman before Zeitgeist came out with links to download the videos on rapidshare (there isn’t even the cat thing on these ones). They performed Tarantula on that Mon and came back Fri to do Thats The Way My Love Is.
There is some extra stuff with Letterman introducing them, but its a cool performance. When it was on tv I almost missed it. I didn’t know about it and it was only a fluke I turned on Letterman in time. Anyway its worth a download I think.youtubehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p24om3pVaNE&feature=user/youtubeyoutubehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7vrz-8OEP4&feature=user/youtube. I’m all out of additional info for the Fair track, myself.
Maybe sometime there’ll be more surface This dug up some curious results:Mine was given to me as a present/gift and didn’t include the cue sheet.I ripped this one from my discs, as-is, some time ago and found it hiding on an old hard drive There’s two extra radio edit tracks from a swoon-worthy redhead thrown in too (I wonder who she could be):The main track order when played – afaik – is:-Age Of InnocenceThe Everlasting GazeThe Imploding VoiceStand Inside Your LoveI Of The MourningHeavy Metal MachineThe Sacred And ProfaneTry, Try, TryWith Every LightThis Time. Here’s an interesting link for you, bullet. I’m not sure what to use for the.ram files on the right though, sorry. I’m Old School and just use Windows Media Player or VLC Player for music and videos:Blue will love one of the companies mentioned on Disc 1, Track 1, below. The Album Network and MuchMusic present: The Smashing Pumpkins 'Intimate & Interactive.' Recorded live at the MuchMusic Environment in Toronto, Canada, 19th July 1998.
Broadcast 20-23 August 1998.Performance info:Linknicity:^ Originally ripped direct from an authentic silver-bottomed disc, into.mp3Another version of the show’s available here, it’s also worth having this for comparisons, etc:. Please PM me a?-mark or whatever for the PW (email’s in profile also), so registered members can access the link before it’s expired. I’ll post it here soon once the file’s been downed a few times. I’m not being a bitch (meowww), I just want to make sure it’s fair on the people who post here, first.
Oh and this took me a lot of time and work on my ancient Craptop (fuelled by Coal and Manure).Edit:PW = freakies. And remember, ThePumpkins.net isn’t even the best source for downloading.
Actually, it’s 1 of the smallest, and not very fast also when things come available. Also, they provide lossy formats only, which is not the best quality. Nevertheless, if you are happy with what they provide, I got no issues with that of course! My 2 places where I go most are:Archive.org ( ) has over 300 Smashing Pumpkins concerts in lossless formats and MP3 (can be downloaded 1 track by 1 track, or as a whole concert) = really amazing for creating your own Smashing Pumpkins live compilations!Zombtracker ( ) has them ALL, like 600+ concerts and Mashed Potatoes ( ) and all other rarities in lossless format only, to be downloaded with Torrents. It takes a little more effort timewise, but it’s worth it. I love this place, so many surprises pop up here, and if you can’t find it, ask for a re-seed, and people are always willing to help you out.And also, browse on this forum for the posts done by Dazey. His posts together are a huge Treasure Box of places where to download what.
So, my advice would be: do not stop @ ThePumpkins.net ya ain’t seen nothing yet!. Oohhh, I smell a little Hoarder. Ssshhh.Cheers for the share, Arthur./quote:8nmzvmunI remember the story was that a guy was able to record this on his mobile or something, through a studio wall, where the Smashing Pumpkins were rehearsing.
I don’t know the exact recording date/venue, but I received it on May 12, 2007. Also we know that the Smashing Pumpkins rehearsed in Chicago in the Congress Theatre on May 08, 2007 before they embarked on the European Tour. So it might come from thereOn May 14, 2007 the 30 seconds snippet of Tarantula was aired in the US, and on May 19, 2007 Tarantula premiered in all it’s rockin’ beauty on KROQ radio.
May 22, 2007 was the very first gig in Paris since they stopped playing live in 2000. Just to give you a little timeframe. (On a sidenote, the slideshow on top of this forum are pics from the Paris gig, to honour that the Smashing Pumpkins are playing again )But think of it, it’s pretty silly, how a crappy recording of 18 seconds only can make you go crazy, longing for that good old new Pumpkins rock! I played it over and over again, astonished about that loud and aggressive rock! But is it just a little jam, or a proper song?
I still wonder. Sorry, M, I don’t have that around any more. A friend had ripped it from vinyl and I’ve not kept the track for myself. I don’t feel polite bugging him again, so hopefully somebody could kindly post it up for you guys (there were many d/l).Just a few words to follow on from my official warning, where there was a mis-understanding (the appropriate people now know the details of this). After all the time and work I’ve put into spfreaks.com, I earnt it:The tracks are exceptionally rare, those who d/l them would be wise to keep those.
Long story short, they’re sourced from an in-house disc that’s never been released outside the band before now. They sound identical to the commercial versions, by ear.My apologies for the very sloppy post, the original idea was for a surprise announcement as to the tracks’ origins. Along with this; some photographs and so on would have followed – maybe still will. For the Tech Heads, it’s possible to find differences with those I upped to the deleted link, when compared with the commercial releases. Very cleverly mastered, wouldn’t you say?I was recently discussing my ceasing uploads here and now I have, I’ve done my bit, as they say. Come on guys and gals, share the shares. All the shares I’ve ever posted have been from original discs that I myself own (might be selling my mid-range collection off – watch this space). There’s my 2 Cents/2 Pence worth.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the goodies and I’ve been happy doing my little bit in the cause of: 'I didn’t have that in my collection, now it is.' I’d like to think there was a gem or two.Rawk awn and keep the SP spirit alive, always.m/ m/. Cheers, b, you’re most welcome. It was tough finding things that weren’t easily downloadable from websites around the ‘Net.The aim was for bits ‘n pieces that seemed ‘new’ and that I couldn’t find on Torrent sites, or usual public sites.Seconding Arthur’s earlier post about Zomb Torrents, etc., don’t stick to what’s right in front of you. Dig around, there’s so much great stuff online. One Summer I spent seven weeks trawling the ‘Net (long story as to the motivations!) and built up many Gigs of.mp3, videos, etc., etc.Plain old-fashioned hard work pays off. You all are talking the website mumbo jumbo, and it all just goes right over my head, so i didn’t even know there were mp3’s to be had, i saw something about torrents, and i can’t dl those, cause it takes a flippin year.
And then you all talk about this and that, so i missed any talking of real music to get./quote:3dec38plI know bullet, and I was thinking about you and others that don’t work with torrents and the big files that you download with them. Takes ages sometimes, even on my side.So that’s why I was asking if somebody wants MP3 downloads of SP’s Mashed Potatoes via this forum. Same way as Dazey provides us every now and then, with those downloadlinks posted here. Comprende now, my friend bullet?. I forgot to say that i found a torrent for the brussels show dvd (botanique gardens)'Ok here as promised is the Smashing Pumpkins 1998-05-28 Brussels Botanique Gardens DVD (1.25.55hrs).I got this a few years back from a record fair as a DVD. I think it’s recorded direct toDVD from TV although it could be a VHS transfer. The quality is pretty good if a littlewashed out and has a tiny amount of colour bleed.
The audio is excellent and it’s a greatvenue and cracking Adore era show.' Happy Birthday from Netphoria Message BoardNetphoria Message Board to meshow details 7:01 AM (1 hour ago) ReplyHello SPfreaks,We at Netphoria Message Board would like to wish you a happy birthday today!' Are you sure this is not an automated email?I did get the If All Goes Wrong dvd set from my girlfriend however, isn’t that SWEET!. AE’s a great and special show for me in many ways.
By chance encounter, I’d been invited to start sharing my collection online a couple of years ago now (gulp). This show started it all off for me, in that I’ve met many great people of the SP community since and learnt so much I hadn’t gone looking for. There’s no fun for me in hoarding things that sometimes others don’t yet have, so I hope you guys ‘n guysesses enjoy these goodies from time to time There’s never too much Pumpkinicity out there, riiight?Readers from other sites should feel free to post the links, etc., 'What’s mine is ours.'
I only post here mostly, as again it was by invitation. I’m hoping to see the ‘official’ forum do well and pretend to be a 21 y/o Model (or something) there.Lots of good fellow Pumpkins out there anyway, you just need to give people a chance and have fun.I’m proud of our ‘Fanbase’ for who I believe will always be a very special band. M/We’ll dedicate this share to ‘lil Cherub Rawker, Marce, who’s slipped a Birthday by us recently.
And here is something not many people have I’m quite sure. James Iha played in 1987 in a band called Snake Train before he joined the Smashing Pumpkins, and he still played with them in (early) 1988, next to his cooperation with Billy Corgan. In 1988 Snake Train released a demo cassette, with James Iha on guitar. See pics below. Here are 8 Snake Train songs, some of them came from that cassette if I’m right (but they might have come from another cassette also, since the tracklist is partly different), for you to enjoy! Rock on!(PS that 1987-1988 period is a little vague, I hope my info is about right!). Hey guys, i need some help here, and hopefully one of you can help me out.I just went over to sp.com and found a post called 'Listing of All the New Songs Since Zeitgeist' and there was quiet a few songs that ive never heard about, so maybe someone here got those cos i would love to listen to them. The song i would like to hear are these:Corsage in FlamesOrpheus DescendingCommunionGingger’s RagaGingger’s Raga ReturnsSing for All You SquanderThanks in advance.
